Fertilising

Conquest Couch requires very little maintenance. Between two to four applications of fertiliser per year is ample to keep Conquest instant turf looking great. Your Conquest instant turf supplier will provide you with the right fertiliser and the correct application rates.

Some rules for fertilising:

• Do not apply to a lawn that has just been mown or is under stress
• Never apply more than the recommended rates on the bag
• A granular fertiliser should be applied to dry turf and a liquid fertiliser to a turf that is moist
• Apply fertiliser evenly over the area
• Always ensure adequate water is applied evenly over the lawn after application

Mowing

Mower blades must be kept sharp at all times to help reduce leaf damage and minimise the chance of disease. Always attempt to mow Conquest Couch when the leaf is dry. Ideal mowing height range would be from 5mm to 25mm.

Weed Control

Weeds are generally best controlled by removing by hand prior to mowing. Your turf grower or local nursery can provide the correct chemical for larger tasks.

Some rules for Weed control:

• Do not mow before or immediately after chemical applications
• Chemicals should only be applied when the turf is actively growing and not under stress
• Always follow the recommendations on the label
• A fine mist spray evenly applied over the turf is all that is required to ensure good weed control

Lawn Pests

Tolerates lawn pests better than other varieties but treatments are still necessary in warmer climates.

Soils

Conquest Couch thrives in most soil types but ensure the area has some slope to reduce the chances of water ponding on the surface.
